I was giving a lesson to someone recently and I asked my student to look at one of my Myths of Golf.
Myths of Golf 3 is that the shaft at the top of the back swing should be parallel to the ground.
I then thought how sad it is that I have to create this video when all golfers have to do is WATCH where the best golfers take the shaft back to & see where the shaft actually goes.
Look at John Rahm & Bobby Jones, for example, two fantastic golfers and the shaft is nowhere near horizontal to the ground, yet it is taught as being essential & correct.
I currently have 62 Myths of Golf on my site & if all golfers & golf teachers actually watched how good golfers actually played there would be no need for me to produce any Myths of Golf.
But we are where we are so I will carry on producing my Myths of Golf to ensure my pupils understand how good golfers actually produce good shots.
If you have the time, please look at Teaching Videos 59 & 61
Wishing you a great golfing season.
