Some of the simplest aspects of addressing the golf ball can create confusion even for very good golfers.
I have always believed that addressing the golf ball with the left arm and club in line is very important.
Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Rory Mcllroy etc do and for a very good reason.
With the left arm and club in line the takeaway is simplified.
If the left arm & club are not in line then at some stage they will have to be & that will create inconsistency.
The illustration accompanying this blog is one that I have used for 45 years & I let my pupils have a copy to take home to study it their own time.
It would be great if you could look at this blog in conjunction with Teaching Video 39.
