One of my pupils plays at Remedy Oak Golf Club, nr. Wimborne, Dorset, UK. Remedy Oak is one of the best 100 golf courses in the UK and measures over 7,000 yards off the back tees and has a par of 72.
My pupil has had 10 lessons in the last few months and has reduced his highest score of 125 to a new low of 90.
My pupil hits almost no shots in his lessons but we talk about my philosophy of golf which he has embraced very enthusiastically.
My philosophy is contained in Top Tip 9 & Top Tip 33.
The ball always goes where the club head is pointing at impact and it has since golf started C 800 years ago.
Grip, stance, posture, first move back, and the top of the back swing ( hitting position) represent 95% of the shot & from there move to the finish as explained in Teaching Video 21 & Top Tips 28 & 48.
This works for many of my pupils including my pupil’s business partner who also has lessons & recently scored a gross 67 at Remedy Oak.
This philosophy clearly works for all levels of golfer.
Peter Thompson.
