I have just read the June 2020 edition of Golf World and there is a great article about Tom Leman who won the Open At Royal Lytham St. Annes in 1996.
The article is about Tom’ s 10 Rules of scoring.
Rule No.1. Be Commited.
He was playing in the 1995 Ryder Cup with Corey Pavin and Tom was very nervous about a shot. Corey said to him ‘Look, just get committed and swing’. Tom did and his 5 iron flew 205 yards on to the green from the semi – rough. Two putts later and the match was won.
Top Tip 34 says more or less the same thing – worth a second look.
Nice to have the golf courses open again.
