Aim the club head first.
In the April 2017 edition of Golf World there is a Top Tip by Justin Rose, one of the most respected and admired professional golfers in the world.
His Top Tip was so extraordinary simple that most golfers do not realise how important it is.
The Top Tip was to aim the club face at the target. I would add with every club from a putter to a driver and with every single shot.
Other golfers who followed this advice were Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Greg Norman, and Tom Watson – great golfers and they aimed the club head where they wanted the ball to go on every shot.
When you next play ask someone to stand behind you to check where your club face is aiming as that is the only place where you can have your aim checked accurately. Wherever you think you are aiming believe them.
It will work.
