My best score at Kettering Golf Club was a 66 when I had 12 fours & 6 threes.
At the time I had two small children, a very busy golf shop, and a full lesson diary so I had very little time to practice my golf except for putting & short shots.
My 66 was therefore a pretty good score.
It was accomplished by making practice moves and I still teach & practice these moves 50 years on.
They are quite simple but the stance & ball position always came first.
The first practice move is outlined in Top Tip 24 when the body turns ( hips & chest ) and the arms are pushed away until the shaft is parallel to the ground & the target line with the toe pointing upwards ( to the sky ).
Do this a few times until you have the feel & then play the shot. I did this on every full shot.
The score card is attached.
