A shoulder turn is vital in the back swing and this top tip will show how your right arm can ensure your shoulders will turn in the back swing.

Top Tip 34 – Good golfers do not care where the ball goes.

Hard to believe but not caring where the ball goes makes them great golfers. A great video that explains the basic psychology of all great golfers. Tiger Woods took 10 shots on the par 3 12th. in the 2020 Masters. He then had 5 birdies in the next 6 holes. A perfect example.

Top Tip 33 – Psychology.

Having true confidence in golf can only happen by hitting good shots and this can only happen with a sound technique. I will explain this in an entirely logical way and every golf psychologist would agree.

Top Tip 32 – Your badge at address and before impact.

The badge on your sweater or shirt can be used as a great aid to improving your entire swing. This great TOP TIP will improve your ball striking with very little practice.

Top Tip 31 – At address your hands should block out your left ankle.

A correct address position represents 75% of the shot. This video will show you where to place your left arm and club  so you can make a good takeaway. This can be practiced without hitting any golf balls.

Top Tip 30 – Chin up at address.

The position of your chin at address is very important. With your chin positioned correctly a free body turn will follow. This is a remarkably simple tip that anyone can do.

Top Tip 29 – Move your hands above your right ankle bone in the back swing.

This top tip will show you how to improve your swing plane without hitting any golf balls. All that is required is a mirror and an understanding of a key move that applies to all golfers with all clubs on all full shots. A guaranteed improvement will follow with minimal effort.

Top Tip 28 – The Vital 3:1 ratio.

Understanding this ratio will increase your distance, improve your short shots and make you a more consistent putter.

Top Tip 27 – Let your arms hang loose.

Letting your arms hang loose at address will allow you to create the essential separation of your arms and shoulders in the back swing.

An intriguing title but your left thumb position on the club can make an amazing difference to your swing. I will explain in this video how you can increase your distance and control by having your left thumb in the optimum position.

Top Tip 25 – Turn your head to your right at address.

Jack Nicklaus, at address, turned his head to his right. I will explain why and how this very simple movement can have a dramatic effect in your ability to rotate your body and produce longer shots.

Top Tip 24 – Hide the shaft.

This fantastic video will show you how to start your swing correctly and all you need is a club and a mirror. This Top Tip always works.

Top Tip 23 – Left chest to right knee.

Every good golfer makes this key move. I will explain in detail  how to create this dynamic move that is inherent in all great golfers.

Top Tip 22 – Watch the player not the ball.

If you really want to learn how the best golfers play the game then you need to watch what they do in their swings rather than where the ball goes. I base my teaching  principles on the fact that the shot is created by the swing. To improve your golf you must improve your swing based on how all good golfers swing.

Top Tip 21 – Play 6 x 3 holes or 3 x 6 holes and not 2 x 9 holes.

By changing your mind set on how you score over 18 holes you can reduce your score. I will explain how I think you should  score over 18 holes so you do not play ‘ the front nine and the back nine ‘

Top Tip 20 – Playing in the wind.

It is impossible to fight the wind so by using your normal swing, with a few subtle changes, you can actually start to enjoy playing in the wind. I will explain how to play in the wind in this very informative video.

Top Tip 19 – Ball position.

There cannot be a definitive position for the golf ball at address. I will explain where I think the ball should be positioned at a address based of some of the finest golfers in the world.

Top Tip 18 – Putting – pace is the key.

For all golfers distance represents 80% of successful putts. If you miss the hole by one inch and the ball goes six feet past the hole you will be 6 feet away from the hole. If you miss the hole by 6 inches and you have the correct distance you will be 6 inches away from the hole.

Top Tip 17 – Grip pressure.

How tightly should one hold the golf club?  This perennial question is given a definite answer by me with my adherence to the principles of logic.
